Lisa is certified by the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) as well as Certified through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants as an Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (ACDBC) and a graduate of the Animal Behavior College for both Dogs & Cat Training and Behavior (ABCDT & ABCCT), when challenged she took on the College's Level 2 exam passing their dog training skills assessment test earning her a rare Level 2 designation (ABCDT-L2). Lisa is a certified Service Dog Coach (SDC) and trains Service Dogs for Battle Buddies and K9 Heroes for our Heroes as well as private clientele.
Lisa has been professionally training dogs & cats in private and group classes for over ten years and has been helping families in the Tampa area privately with dog and cat behavior modification programs for their pets with behavioral issues. Lisa received a Career Diploma from Penn Foster Career School for Dog Obedience Trainer/Instructor, she has earned All-Star Trainer of the Year as a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through Do More with Your Dog (CTDI) and is also certified through the same organization as a Canine Conditioning Fitness Coach (CCFC). Lisa recently obtained her Certification as a Certified Animal Actor Evaluator (AACE) and is an Animal Wrangler onset for her own dogs who have experience in both film and print. Lisa is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine, Urban Canine, STAR Puppy & Trick Dog Evaluator, as well as an AKC Fit Dog Instructor and Certified K9 Fit Club Instructor. Lisa is an avid Dog Parkour Practitioner and All Dogs Parkour Certified Instructor (ADP-CI), she is a Fear Free Certified Professional and is Certified by the American Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid.
As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant Lisa is required to continue her education in Training and Behavior to maintain her credentials. This keeps her current on all the latest scientifically proven methods to best help you and your pet. Lisa is a Full Dog Trainer Member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) as well as an Educator as Lecturer at their 2015 Pet Professional Guild Summit. She is a long-time member of the Behavior Education Network (BEN) and a Professional Premium Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Lisa has an extensive education in dog ethology, behavior, health, training, sports and conditioning, some of her favorite courses include the Karen Pryor Academy Canine Freestyle, the Humane Society University Interpreting Animal Behavior for Safe Interaction, Understanding Canine Behavior through E-Training for Dogs, Rally Freestyle Elements and not to leave our Feline friends out Lisa is a certified through the Animal Behavior College as a Certified Cat Trainer (ABCCT) as well as certified in Feline Management & Training.

Lisa has a lifetime of experience raising dogs & cats and believes in adopting from Rescues & Shelters. She currently parents eight rescue cats and her three dogs Lily, Miles & Mazie. Lisa is known for her own ex-shelter do the famous “Brody the Border Collie Trick Dog Champion and K9 Artist”. Brody when adopted was Heartworm positive and had several behavioral issues. Brody knew over 200 tricks all trained force free using positive reinforcement and had earned the prestigious title of Trick Dog Champion through Do More with Your Dog and AKC's Trick Dog Elite Performer Title. As a K9 Artist, he pawed it forward to help others that are less fortunate by painting, donating his art and performing at Charity events. A couple years after adopting Broy, Lisa rescued Brody's sister, Dali who at 6 months old displayed severe fear aggression and other behavioral challenges with the assistance of medication and behavior modification training using rewards-based methods Dali overcome her fear aggression issues, she was weaned off medication and held Titles in Dock Jumping, Barn Hunt, Tricks & Dog Parkour. Lisa's cat Fender Well or FW for short (named for where he was rescued from the neighbor's vehicle) holds a Trick Cat Title. Her current dog Lily is a Do More with Your Dog Trick Dog Grand Champion, AKC Trick Dog Performer, Certified Animal Actor Professional and Flyball Dog Champion. Young Miles and Mazie will be following in Lily's pawsteps.
Lisa believes all shelter/rescue dogs & cats deserve a forever home as the former Pasco County as Animal Services Behavior Coordinator & Trainer from 2015 to 2018. Lisa works with various local rescues to help keep their adopted pets in their new forever homes and works with the Humane Society of the Nature Coast to educate their staff. Prior to her time at PCAS Lisa volunteered her training & behavior services to CARES in Brooksville and the Humane Society of Pasco County.
